Here's how it works:

Got a poker F* you to send to someone? Simply contact me with your worst poker beat or best poker brag. I'll decide what goes up and when. I'll certainly credit you if you'd like.

You can email me or leave a comment on this blog. In your message, include the name you'd like to be credited with (if you want to be identified or linked) and the [all important] hand history. Please make all names in the hand history anonymous, with the exception of the donkey if you want to call out the person who put the beat on you.

We're looking for weird hands, truly bad sh*t, or busting poker pros in awesome ways. Just because you got your AA cracked doesn't mean squat. But if you got your set of Aces cracked to an all in non-paired opponent on the flop with no [obvious] draws and he runner runners the winning hand, well then, now we're talking. Bust Phil Ivey in a tourney? Easy brag! Bust Phil Helmuth? Who hasn't? No brag for you!

Bad Beat #3 - War stories from Hollywood Casino at Charles Town, WV

Caveat:  Not a "bad beat" in the textbook sense of the word, but definitely a 200+BB bad beat.  This story comes to us from a sickly beatdown that happened 2010-08-07.
Here is how it went down:
I was sitting on about $785 and my "opponent" had about $450. The hand began with some donkey posting a $10 straddle. It folded around to seat seven (?), maybe eight and he called. It was folded around to me sitting at the cutoff and I look down at cowboys. I bump it to $40, donkey boy (straddler) folded and my "opponent" called. Now comes the flop,  K J J with 2 spades. He checks and I make a "please call me bet" of $30 and he makes it $90. I think for a minute (getting some TV time), really I'm debating whether to re-raise or to smooth call. I make the call. The turn card is the 4 of spades and he leads out with $100, at this point I figure he hit his spade draw and I got him so I pop it to $200 and he shoves all in so I insta-call and flip over my Kings, he looks at them and says "Sorry Man!" and shows his Jacks. Obviously the river wasn't the case King.  I just about had an aneurism I was so mad.
This is my first war story from CTRS of which I am sure will be many. Luck of the Irish my ASS!!!

*Selfish me says thank God it wasn't me on the end of the beat-down stick.

Welcome to Bad Beats & Brags!

I realize that this is similar to TwoPlusTwo's Poker Beats Brags & Variance, but this is a blog version, with a heavy hand of censorship.  Readers can submit their own BBB's (Bad Beats & Brags) where omgitsjoshua & I will edit and discriminate what makes it as a post.

This blog should serve as an outlet for annoyances and giving the middle finger to poker.  Also, if you have a sick hand or crazy brag (on the opposite side of a bad beat, perhaps), send it in.  The tenets of the blog are:

Got a poker F* you to send to someone? Simply contact me with your worst poker beat or best poker brag. I'll decide what goes up and when. I'll certainly credit you if you'd like.
